The type of material that we use in our arbors is always handpicked for strength and beauty. Arbors, when separating one area from another area, should provide a transition from each area.
The allure and durability of the Ipe wood in this example makes up for the difficulties encountered when using it in construction. All joints must either be screwed together or peg fitted. Ipe wood is extremely dense which accounts for its outdoor toughness and permanence.
